Kate has been teaching dance for the past 16 years. Starting at the age of 4, she is formally trained in tap, jazz and ballet (BAL Syllabus), but Kate’s passion lies in the creativity, technicality and musicality of tap. Kate has studied with Glenn Wood and represented Glenn Wood Tap (GWT) in Singapore. She has also performed in many shopping centre productions as well as the Opening Ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Kate has taught all levels of tap with age groups ranging from 7 to 70! Kate currently teaches the Glenn Wood Tap Syllabus, Pre-Senior & Senior Tap and our Adults Jazz & Tap classes. With a focus on technique and creativity, Kate enjoys teaching different styles of tap to develop skill, confidence and ability in a fun and nurturing environment, always wanting to bring out the best in her students. She is devoted to teaching the fundamentals of tap in the Glenn Wood Tap Syllabus, building the foundational principles as well as creative and innovative choreography for aspiring performers.
