Kym Parmenter

Kym Parmenter (Vahtrik) was born into a family of dance and performing arts. From 2 years of age learning and mastering many styles such as Jazz, Tap and R.A.D ballet and acrobatics, dance was not a sport it was her life. As a youngster Kym’s career took off in TV, film and advertising whilst performing also as young dancer. Moving through to her adult career Kym has been lucky enough to work as a commercial dancer for over 10 years steering away from the repetitive field of theatre. Kym was lucky enough to be accepted by a boutique dance agency that gave her the amazing opportunity to dance alongside some of Australia’s wonderful artists such as Marcia Hines, Frankie..J. Holden, Guy Sebastian, John Paul Young to name just a few. Kym also travelled overseas with groups such as Rat Pack and the Australian laser show and was lucky enough to be on stage with American superstar Chris Issak.

Kym also enjoyed a strong career as a dancer for many of Australia leading club acts such as Stephen Fisher-king, Abbalance , Elton Jack, Peter Kaye and also enjoyed small contracts within the theatre restaurant business.

Kym also enjoyed her NBL cheerleading where she was a resident dancer for both the Sydney Kings and the Wollongong Hawks leading to be crowned Australian cheerleader of the year in 2003. Kym also worked on the live tv show fox sport central alongside Duncan Armstrong from 2001-2003 Kym’s passion however did draw to children’s entertainment!

Starting out as a suit operator for WB, Disney and ABC shows such as Shrek the stage show, Madagascar, Bugs and Daffy and the majority of the ABC stage shows.
Once Kym hung up her personal dancing shoes in 2007 she is still involved in the industry today in the form of choreographer, show hosting, Mc work, event management and still enjoys participating as a live show host in kids entertainment. From shopping centers to carols in the domain entertaining youngsters is where Kym’s heart is today.

Kym also is extremely passionate in sharing her knowledge an experience with the future dance generation of today where she believes versatility is the key to future success in this amazing industry.

Kym is ready to share her energy with all the children.
