MELISSA KNIPLER
Melissa’s love of dance begun back in 1986 where she started her R.A.D classical training under the guidance of Berenice Wakeman. She also had the privilege to be taught tap by Mr Glenn Wood as well as other leading professional guest teachers. Melissa studied all levels of the R.A.D ballet syllabus and completed her R.A.D teachers certificate with a Distinction under the guidance of Hilary Kaplin.
Melissa studied dance for her HSC and went onto full time dance and received her certificate IV in performing arts at Brent St, where she had the honour of being taught by the famous Kelly Abbey, Lee McDonald and Kim Traynor.
Melissa has studied all styles of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, acrobatics, drama, singing and musical theatre. Melissa started teaching dance at 16 and now has over 20 years of experience in the field of dance teaching.
Melissa has been teaching at Instyle Performing Arts for 15 years and her passion and love for dance is as strong as ever. She is also a qualified Bootybarre instructor as she also has a love for pilates and fitness. Bootybarre enables her to combine her dance knowledge with pilates and yoga to create fun fitness class for adults.
Melissa is a certified and trained Acrobatic Arts teacher and her Bachelor degree in Primary School Education has enabled her to nurture the diversity of her dance students even further within the studio environment.
